The Truth in Relationships will Make You Free

Truth is key to relationship successJune is a relationship month, our focus remains to highlight the aspects of harmony in our relationships.

Ephesians 6:14: Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness.

Christianity is all about love and truth, which is also the key to healthy and sound relationships. This means that all our relationships should be based on truthfulness and love. If a relationship is formed on the basis of a lie, its foundation is laid by Satan and not God. This is so, because God’s very nature is to speak the truth and He cannot bless a relationship, if it’s based on a lie. All lies are a part of Satan’s plan. Such relationships may seem to work for a while but since they do not have the truth in them, they would eventually fail.

You must only go for a relationship in which someone accepts you despite your shortcomings. If it does not happen, God has someone better waiting for you. If you tell the truth, you have nothing to lose. There is nothing better than being truthful in the eyes of God. Anything that originates from a lie belongs to the devil.

As the scripture says in John 8:44 “He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him.” When the devil lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

A lie can make us look good in the eyes of others but it can not help us feel good. If you want to have relationships that last a lifetime, stick to the truth and show God how much you love and honor Him. You can sing worship songs as loud as possible, you can be the best preacher, but if you don’t have truth in your heart, you do not have love. Since you do not have love, you cannot have God, neither do you know Him.

Corinthians 13:4-8:  “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.”

God is love. If you have God’s love in you, the above traits would reflect in your conduct. However, if you are easily angered, you speak lies, you insult people, and then you are indeed far away from God. God cannot live in a heart which does not have love and truth.

If you have a relationship that is falling apart, ask God to reveal to you the reason for it. Pray to God for complete restoration of your relationship and rebuke the devil’s intervention in the name of Jesus. Let Jesus take this relationship in His hands and guide you.

Pray at all times, be thankful, praise God for His love and kindness. Walk with Him. He is waiting for you to call upon Him.  If you are unsure of your salvation today click here,  It is God’s desire that every person be saved.
