Counting the Omer 49 Days! Celebrating the Feast of Weeks

“Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the Universe, who has sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us to count the omer: Tonight will be the 49th night of the Omer, which is Five weeks, and 1 day

Day 49 Psalm 119: 33-40

33 Teach me, Adonai, the way of your laws; keeping them will be its own reward for me.

34 Give me understanding; then I will keep your Torah; I will observe it with all my heart.

35 Guide me on the path of your mitzvot, for I take pleasure in it.

36 Bend my heart toward your instructions and not toward selfish gain.

37 Turn my eyes away from worthless things; with your ways, give me life.

38 Fulfill your promise, which you made to your servant, which you made to those who fear you.

39 Avert the disgrace which I dread, for your rulings are good.

40 See how I long for your precepts; in your righteousness, give me life!

Meditation Day 49 (7 Sabbaths) “The Feast of Weeks-Promise of the Complete Giver”

The anticipation and counting up to Shavuot (or Pentecost), the complete giver is expected to show up and bless His people with knowledge, wisdom and power to get through the test that is set before His people in the wilderness.  The Israelites after escaping by the Mighty Elohim, wait and count seven Sabbaths for the gift from YHWH.  Likewise this pattern is repeated and highlighted in the Brit Hadasha (New Testament) with Yeshua (Jesus) when He instructs his talmudim (disciples) to wait for the gift or power of the Holy Spirit.   Yeshua was with the disciples (talmudim) for 40 of the 49 days of the Feast of Weeks, and the next day being Shavuot (Pentecost).  The time and appointment held by YHWH is instrumental in walking as closely as possible as a man or woman after YHWH’s own heart.  I pray you have your offering to give to the priest according to Leviticus 23:15-16 to wave before YHWH our faithful God today.  We will be equipped for the next days of testing, and we are complete when we honor God in His teachings and instructions of the Torah.  The “Complete Giver,” is YHWH, He does not give you a partial gift, He is the beginning and the end, the Alef and the Tav, many know it as the Alpha and Omega, He is the author and finisher of our faith!   God always prepares us for the work ahead!   Celebrate today and get ready to use the gift (increased wisdom ,knowledge, understanding and discernment) He will give you this year to increase you in your walk in the next days of testing to come.   The biblical account of Shavuot is receiving the Torah or God’s teachings and instructions before entering the journey of the wilderness.  This is a time where YHWH’s voice can be personified and His presence more intense.  The challenge is, will you humble yourself and discard any and all distractions that attempt to pull you way from the obedience of God in this season?   Or will you simply continue to stand gazing in a space He is no longer in? Look to God’s moedim to know where God will reveal His Shekinah Glory. It is not difficult He gave us the complete appointment book for YHWH’s appointed times of His presence, blessing, harvest, teshuvah (repentance), order and holiness.  The feast days are Holy we are blessed to follow closely in this time and season.

Acts 1:9-11English Standard Version (ESV)

And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. 10 And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, 11 and said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”

Loving you enough to share the truth,

Prophetess C.C.
