First, lets recap the meaning of the Daily word prompt ‘Panoply’, a complete or impressive collection of things. In historical literature a splendid panoply would be ones complete set of armor. Today a panoply is the goal of any type of collector whether books, art, games, baseball cards, tools etc. The directive of the panoply is guided by the definition of impressive as it relates to the collector. As a novice writer I collect items that will assist me in becoming a better writer. A great tool for bloggers referencing current affairs as reflected by the top publishers is branded with the noun ‘Panoply.’ This is only one of the additives to my collection of writing tools.
Until the time is made complete by Yashaya, I possess one panoply. The armor I have that was given to me by the Most High God Ahiyah (I AM). You may believe you know where I gained this armor in scripture, but if your mind goes immediately to Ephesians you would be incorrect. I obtained my armor in the laws, prophets and writings of the word. In the book of Isaiah it paints the picture for those who believe in keeping the commandments of the Most High as a representation of their love for Him. In John 14:21 it reads, ” He that hath my commandments, and keep them, he it is that loves me; and he that loves me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.”
Here is the where I started collecting my panoply or my armor:
Isaiah 59:15-21King James Version (KJV)
15 Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the Lord saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.16 And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.17 For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.18 According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.19 So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.20 And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the Lord.21 As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.
Yes, I have a collection of impressive things that will benefit my writing, but complete, I am certain it will never be. In addition, my love for the word of the Most High leads me to be one who is constantly learning. The complete and impressive collection that is of most value to me is that of ‘truths’ I can retain in my spirit. I will not successfully obtain a panoply of my hearts desires until Yashaya HaMaschiach cracks the sky, judges and confirms to me “well done thy good and faithful servant.” Then will I obtain my personal ‘Panoply” as the ‘truths’ which I have retained are made complete.
